Steel Legacy

Organization: Steel Legacy (Band)
Shirt: Port & Company PC55
Fabric: 50% Cotton/50% Polyester (Dark Heather Grey & Black)
Ink: One Stroke Inks – ELT (Extremely Low Temperature) Series Plastisol Ink (white), & Kolormatrix Plastisol (Red, Grey, Black)

One of our local doctors, Alan Ogles, came to us wanting new shirts for his band Steel Legacy. He had low resolution artwork from his previous screen printer, but would’ve had to purchase high resolution graphics from them so we could print the shirts.

We suggested they have us make an updated and fresh new logo which would better tell the story of “who” they are and what they’re about. They could then have full ownership of their brand, and could use the high resolution graphic we created, for things other than shirts like banners, website graphics, and more. The design turned out great, and the shirts were better than he ever expected!

Steel Legacy Before And After

They chose to go with 2 shirts colors, dark heather grey and black. Each shirt has 3 colors of ink. On the grey shirt, we started by printing the black, then the white, then the red ink. On the black shirts, we started by printing the grey, then the white, then the red ink. Our attention to detail, and focus on the environment is what sets our screen printing business apart.

Oxford Equality Rally

Organization: Oxford Equality Rally/PFLAG (Parents, Families and Friends of Lesbians and Gays)
Shirt: Gildan 5000 (White)
Fabric: 5.3 oz. 100% Cotton preshrunk jersey knit
Ink: Kolormatrix Low Temp Plastisol (Pink) & International Coatings Low Temp Plastisol (Blue)

We created this shirt for the Oxford, Alabama Equality Rally. They already had their artwork, but we added some halftones. We think the final product turned out “inkredible”.

Excerpt from their website:

PFLAG of Anniston-Gadsden, Alabama is an active chapter of the PFLAG organization. Our mission is to support the parents, families, and friends of all lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgendered individuals in the Anniston, Gadsden, and surrounding areas, as well as to support all LGBT individuals in our area.

Evolution Health & Fitness

Organization: Evolution Health & Fitness
Garment: Under Amour Racerback Tank Tops
Fabric: Polyester blend
Ink: One Stroke Inks – ELT (Extremely Low Temperature) Series Plastisol Ink (white) & Kolormatrix Low Temp Custom Mix Plastisol (Pink)

This is a rush order that we worked on Evolution Health & Fitness. They were going to the Dirty Girl Mud Run in Atlanta, Georgia and needed shirts for their team. The Under Amour Racerback Tanks were provided by the customer as was the artwork. Although challenging because of the heat sensitivity of the garment, this was a fun print nonetheless.

Southern Holiday Life Magazine

Located in Wedowee, Alabama, Southern Holiday Shop is a unique gift shop, clothing boutique and a member of the Funky Junk Trail. Kelly Caldwell, the Editor in Chief, came to us wanting us to print her 2016 summer design for their hip southern shop. We coached them on creating high resolution graphic files for us to work with. Because Comfort Colors was backordered through the manufacturer, she located the shirts through Jiffy Shirts and delivered them to us for printing.

Printing on Comfort Colors can be challenging for some screen print shops because of the dye process used in making the shirts. At normal curing temperatures dye tends to migrate into the ink. By using One Stroke Inks’ Extremely Low Temperature Plastisol Ink, we are able to eliminate this issue and create vibrant opaque colors which are soft to the touch.

Organization: Southern Holiday Life Magazine/Lake Wedowee Life Magazine
Shirt: Comfort Colors 1717
Fabric: 6.1 oz Pre-shrunk 100% ring spun cotton
Ink: One Stroke Inks – ELT (Extremely Low Temperature) Series Plastisol Ink

Shirt: Comfort Colors 1717
Fabric: 6.1 oz Pre-shrunk 100% ring spun cotton
Ink: One Stroke Inks – ELT (Extremely Low Temperature) Series Plastisol Ink

On this order, Kelly wanted a faded/washed out appearance to go along with the faded dye look of the Comfort Color shirts. We used the ELT Ink from One Stroke Inks, and thinned it down with a reducer so that it would permeate the material and give it a softer hand.

Bennett’s Blueberry Farm

Organization: Bennett’s Blueberry Farm
Shirt: Gildan 5000 (Natural)
Fabric: 5.3 oz. 100% Cotton preshrunk jersey knit
Ink: Kolormatrix Plastisol

Bennett’s Blueberry Farm is an organic, you-pick blueberry farm located in Choccolocco, Alabama. They came to us with no “logo” and needing a shirt designed for their farm. They explained they wanted a two or three color shirt, with blueberries…the the name of the farm pronounced. Our graphic designer produced this two color design with halftones. This allows us to simulate a “more than” two color design, and saved the customer money. Our customers where extremely happy with the end product.
